Cute, Affordable Skinny Jeans
I just bought two pairs of skinny jeans from Forever 21 for about $12.00 each. Love the price, love the look but I’m not in love with the feel. They are pretty thin and the material feels a bit scratchy. Yup, you totally get what you pay for. I’m not regretting it or anything, but I don’t know if I’d buy jeans from Forever anymore.
We recently found the site, Lulus.com. Bao did a post about the Jeffrey Campbell ‘s strappy chain heels. Browsing on the site a few more minutes, we found three nice pairs of really cute, affordable (but not overly cheap) skinny jeans in a variety of styles and colors.

“Eye Shopping”
Bao and I love to shop! But we all know that it can also become a very bad habit. When you have bills to pay, it’s certainly hard to buy everything that you fancy.
Nonetheless, we vow to never give up looking and trying on cute things! We’ll get bored on a random day and have an itch to go shopping. That’s when we head out to Melrose in Los Angeles to do some “eye shopping”.
Our two most favorite stores on Melrose – actually the only two that we go to – are Gossip and Paper Doll. Gossip has cute dresses and tops that are unique and trendy. When you get bored of Forever 21, this is your spot. It feels like a boutique, where you can find one-of-a-kind pieces.
Then, we head over to explore Paper Doll, just a few stores down from Gossip. This store has all your slouchy basics that you can incorporate into any wardrobe. The black cardigan is still a staple in my closet.
Most of the time, we walk out both stores empty-handed. But we’re content and happy. We also feel guilt-free that we didn’t spend a dime. We look at each other and say, “I’m so proud of you!”
Perhaps our “eye shopping” escapades are just a lame-o excuse to do just that. But to us, shopping is not just about buying things. It’s like stepping into an art gallery. We look, discuss, squeal and we walk out, excited that we just saw something super cute!

Ballet Tulle Dress
Bao succeeds once more in finding the perfect party dress. This particular black ballet dress is soooo cutesy, sooooo ballerina-ish and sooo Sarah Jessica Parker-esque – and that’s exactly why Bao fell in love with it.
This beautiful sleeveless dress is the perfect mix of the little black sexy dress coupled with a girly kick! It’s flouncy tulle skirt, scoop neck knit upper and ruched satin waistband is perfect for your hot date next week or even for a dressed up GNO and a round of cocktails.
Bao mentions that if there wasn’t a sash, she would wear a cute pastel colored skinny belt around the waist. Perhaps you can cut the sash off carefully…very carefully.

Cute, Strapless, Tiered Floral Dress
I stepped into Forever 21 yesterday, and the new obvious craze was florals. Everything from bikinis to sandals was adorned in colorful floral prints. When I mentioned this to Bao, she looked at me like I was living in a cave. Of course, our dear Baoie already had a beautiful, flowery dress from Forever 21, altered to her fit and ready to go (how the heck does she know these things so soon??)
Anyway, the floral dress of her choosing was just lovely. It was a darker print (no pastels here) strapless, chiffon dress and tiered with ruffles for a girly touch.
Bao wears this adorable dress with an orange cardigan and a black and gold studded medium-sized belt (below). She mentions you can also wear the dress with a fitted or oversized menswear blazer or a leather jacket.

Sexy Denim Leggings
We love skinny jeans. They make a simple t-shirt look super cute. But sometimes, we’re not so in love with the super tightness of the fit…especially in the waist area after our GNOs…So Alisa suggested the trendy Denim Leggings. I didn’t even realize she wasn’t wearing REAL jeans, and wow, they looked really good on her.
So I happily ordered a pair of black BDG Denim Leggings from Urban Outfitters. They are super cute, totally gives you the skinny jeans look and are mighty comfy. I especially love the high waist on this pair. I like to wear these denim leggings with a long white or gray t-shirt or long loose tank (with or without a graphic) and flats for a casual look or a long, dressy black tunic top in my new Seychelles heels for a night out.
